ATLANTIS AQUAVENTURE & LOST CHAMBERS EXPERIENCE

Driving into Dubai the first thing that caught our eye was the massive, iconically shaped Atlantis dominating the skyline. We knew we had to spend a day checking out The Palm and visit The Atlantis. Little did we know that The Atlantis was not only a hotel, but has a water park and aquarium attached and we ended up spending a whole day going down water slides, relaxing on man-made beaches and marvelling at thousands of different marine life.

We had such a whirl wind of a day. We began by going down every single waterslide in the park. This took quite a while as Aquaventure in Dubai is the largest water park in the Middle East. We even went down the mother of all water slides - The Leap of Faith. Almost 30 meters tall and over 60 meters long, this monstrous slide deposits you into a tank filled with sharks! It went by so quickly that we had to do it twice!

Once our adrenaline rushes subsided we went and relaxed on the man made beach and spent sometime lazing about as we floated down the lazy river.

Our full-day ticket also allowed us access to The Lost Chambers Aquarium. Once we stepped in we were blown away by the architecture and detail that went into the design of the aquarium. It felt like we were exploring the ruins of Atlantis, lost for thousands of years deep beneath the sea. We were surrounded by 65,000 marine animals while exploring the underwater mazes and tunnels.
