We are complete suckers for unique & wacky accommodation. If you are going to fly across the world you may aswell find a cool hotel to stay in while you're there. Today we are sharing with you guys the most quirky and unusual hotels we have found across Asia you need to stay in!

1. Xiangshawan Desert Lotus Hotel, China

Located in the remote desert of Xiangshawan in China, this incredible hotel is surrounded by stunning golden sand dunes in pretty much the middle of nowhere. To get here you will need to take a 1.5 hour plane ride from Beijing, followed by a 1.5 hour drive to the desert.

2. Hang Nga Guesthouse, Vietnam

Popularly known as ‘Crazy House’, this fairytale-like building is a Gaudi-esque masterpiece. The building’s overall design is meant to resemble a tree and each room is animal themed. If you are looking for an unusual hotel, than this one is definitely unique!

3. Hotel Everest View, Nepal

Located at more than 3,960 meters above sea level, the Hotel Everest View is the highest placed hotel in the world! Located high above Namche in the Himalayas, it gives you spectacular views of Mt. Everest & other magnificent mountains from all of its rooms.

4. Seaventures Dive Rig, Malaysia

If you are an avid scuba diver then you need to stay in this quirky hotel in Sabah, Malaysia. This converted oil rig has 27 fully-furnished rooms and offers entertainments like a movie room & karaoke bar, but the awesome part is the diving! A lift lowers divers directly into the reef below and all dives are included in the cost of your stay.

5. Keemala Resort, Thailand

Nestled in the Kamala rainforest in Phuket, Keemala is a resort that focuses on nature & wellness. It has four types of villas on offer: clay, tent, tree and bird's nest. Each villa is uniquely designed, some resembling mushroom caps while others are tree houses shaped like round fruit.

Could you sleep inside a pod of 2m x 1m x 1.25 m? Capsule hotels are becoming more and more popular across Asia, but the original is in Osaka, Japan.
