Day 2 (July 12): Iceland’s Golden Circle

Today’s adventure begins with a scenic drive to Thingvellir National Park, a site steeped in history as the birthplace of Europe's oldest parliament and a striking display of tectonic wonders at the Silfra fissure. The journey continues with a visit to the Strokkur Geyser, a geothermal marvel that erupts with a thrilling display of nature's power. Witnessing this spectacle is a moment you won't soon forget. As the day unfolds, be captivated by the majestic Gullfoss Waterfall. Its thunderous cascades are a testament to Iceland's untamed beauty.

The day will end with a soothing dip in the Secret Lagoon at Fluoir. This natural pool, fed by geysers, offers a warm, mineral-rich embrace, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. (B)

Day 3 (July 13): The South Coast

After breakfast, we will head out to explore Iceland's breathtaking south coast, a treasure trove of natural wonders. Begin with a visit to the hidden gem of Gljufrabui, a towering waterfall that rivals the country's more well-known cascades. Next, marvel at Gluggafoss, a stunning waterfall cascading from the Merkja River.

Next, we will witness the dramatic beauty of Reynisdrangar's black sands, celebrated as one of the world's most exquisite non-tropical beaches. Continue to the awe-inspiring Dyrholaey Nature Reserve, where cliffs dramatically meet the sea, offering a view of the famous 'arch with the hole'.

In the afternoon we will head out on an unforgettable boat tour on the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. Navigate through milky blue waters, weaving between massive icebergs from Vatnajokull, Europe's largest ice cap! (B)

Day 4 (July 14): Europe’s Largest Ice Cap

Dare to walk on Europe’s largest icecap? This morning offers an optional glacier walk on Vatnajokull, accessible even to beginners. With glaciers like Vatnajokull rapidly diminishing due to climate change, seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Your adventure continues at Skaftafell National Park, a haven of massive glaciers and mountain trails. A short hike leads you to the stunning Svartifoss waterfall, cascading over striking black basalt columns – a must-capture moment for your camera.

In the afternoon we will explore Fjadrargljufur, a serpentine canyon recently unveiled to the world. The day ends in the quaint seaside village of Vik, offering a free evening to discover local dining gems or simply relax and recharge. (B)

Day 5 (July 15): Waterfalls & Reykjavik

Embark on a waterfall-chasing adventure as you journey back to Reykjavik. Start with the magnificent Seljalandsfoss, where you can experience the unique thrill of walking behind the waterfall's cascades (don't forget your raincoat). Next, visit Skogafoss, set against a dramatic cliffside. Here, you can ascend the nearby stairs for a bird's-eye view of the falls and the birds darting around the cliffs.

Your waterfall tour concludes with Urridafoss, the most voluminous waterfall in Iceland, located on the country's longest river. Arriving in Reykjavik in the afternoon, join your leader for an orientation walk to explore the city's highlights.

For your final evening, browse for souvenirs, or celebrate your nature-filled journey with drinks at one of Reykjavik's unique bars.
