Visiting Las Vegas for the first time we knew it was going to be a crazy few days, but not spinning 900 feet above the strip crazy!
The Stratosphere Tower has four extreme thrill rides all over 900 feet high, and we simply had to check them out! If you are an adrenaline junkie and not feeling too hungover, the Stratosphere is a really fun way to spend an afternoon.
Open every day from 10am until late, $36 will get you an all-day pass allowing you to ride all 3 thrill rides - as many times as you wish.

The Big Shot
If you love a good view, then you need to ride The Big Shot. Go from 900 feet above the strip to 1,081 feet in a matter of seconds! It is a ride you will find in almost every theme park, but we have never seen any that get to such a high elevation.
The X Scream
THRILL RIDES IN LAS VEGAS
The X Scream is our favourite ride. You sit in an open roller coaster car that dramatically thrusts over the edge of the tower, making it feel as if you are going fly right off the edge. The feeling off free falling, along with the incredible views make for the perfect thrill ride.
Insanity
If you can handle rides that spin, you will love this ride. Sitting in claw shape facing the street below, the ride begins to spin until you reach dizzying speeds of 40 mph!

Bonus: The SkyJump
If you are looking for the ultimate adrenaline rush you need to experience the SkyJump Las Vegas, a controlled free fall, with riders on a vertical zip line diving 855 feet from the 108th floor of the Stratosphere Tower, reaching up to 40 mph!
Before the jump, you'll be given a short safety lesson and fitted into a jumpsuit. Next, you're connected to a "descender machine" as a guide leads you to the edge of a small platform. Before you know it it's time to leap out and plunge 100 stories down to the ground!
The SkyJump is an additional $129 to experience.
