SOARING ABOVE UTAH

During our time exploring Utah we were staying in an area called Draper, located right across from a beautiful set of mountains. Little did we know that these mountains are the location of one of the most popular paragliding spots in Utah - The Point.

Every morning we would wake up to a bunch of paraglider's flying from these mountains, and we were determined to join them before we left!

Our Paragliding Experience

This was our second time paragliding, our first experience was over snowcapped peaks in New Zealand. Flying in Utah would be a much different experience, as it was the middle of summer, with no snow in sight.

At 7am we jumped in the car and headed to The Point. As we made our way to the top of the mountain, we were surrounded by fellow paraglider's, out for a quick fly before work. Our excitement levels were growing.

At the top we met with our friendly pilot, Kristjan from Red Hawk Paragliding, who would be taking us on our flight. We got geared up and Jess was the first to take off. We had never experienced flying with so many others at once. It was pretty cool gliding by each other as we soared above Utah.

Once Jess touched back down it was Stephen's turn and before he knew it he was off. As we took turns paragliding we were able to grab footage from not only the Go Pro, but from the ground which our inner-vlogger loved.
