After spending over 2 weeks in Salt Lake City, we already want to return.  It is such a beautiful area of the US with countless things you can do. Here are 10 of our favourite things we got up to during our visit in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This 15 mile long canyon provides hiking, biking, picnicking, rock climbing, camping and fishing in the summer months. During the winter, it transforms into a winter wonderland with two ski resorts, Brighton and Solitude, both very popular among skiers and snowboarders. (source)

Spend a day being a big kid at Provo Beach. For only $20 you will have access to unlimited bowling, unlimited croquet, unlimited time on the ropes course, unlimited carousel rides, 2 games of laser tag and some tokens to use on the arcade games. Such a great deal, and makes for a really fun day - especially if you are travelling with kids. (source)

6. Temple Square

Located in the center of Salt Lake City, Temple Square is a 10 acre complex owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is a beautiful area with flowers blooming during the warmer months, and covered in snow and Christmas lights during the winter. The Salt Lake City Temple is the largest of it's kind and a spectacular building to visit.

3. Thanksgiving Point

Thanksgiving Point Gardens in Lehi, Utah is a place we would recommend anyone visiting Salt Lake City to spend the day. The gardens cover almost 55 acres with more species of flowers and plants than we can count. We suggest renting out a golf cart to explore the area, or even a segway!

1. Lagoon Amusement Park

Home to one of the worlds most scariest roller coasters, Lagoon Amusement Park is the number 1 place we recommend anyone to spend a day during a visit to Salt Lake City.
