A WEEKEND IN THE MALDIVES | SONEVA FUSHI
Here are some snaps we took from a trip to the Maldives! One of the dreamiest places in the world, and one of our favourite spots to go whenever we are looking for a romantic getaway. We stayed at the MOST INCREDIBLE resort, Soneva Fushi. Located on a private island, we stayed in a gorgeous beach hut with our own private pool and private entrance to the beach.
We flew in via seaplane, which was a first for us. I thought I would be anxious on the flight (I am usually a very nervous flyer), but the views from the window were just so beautiful it kept me distracted for the entire 40 minute flight! When we arrived we were greeted by the friendliest Maldivians who took us on a gold buggy to where we were staying and provided us with two bicycles - which is the best way to get around the island!
Besides a lot of swimming and sailing, we basically spent the entire weekend eating! We would cycle down to the breakfast area early each morning so we could score the table closest to the water and eat way too much breakie. For lunch and dinner we ate at a different restaurants, from a Japanese place right on the beach to a gorgeous restaurant located in a tree house!
