PARASAILING HIGH ABOVE WAIKIKI

We had already seen Waikiki be sea and by land - it was time we saw this stunning island by air!
On an early Saturday morning we were greeted at the dock by a few smiling faces from Paradise Watersports. After introductions they asked us if we were ready to go parasailing, and our response was "hell yeah"! Before we knew it we were speeding out of the bay and getting strapped up ready for the mornings adventure.

A couple before us went first, we excitedly watched as they flew 1,000ft into the air. It brought me back to a time years ago in Bali when we went parasailing from a beach in Kuta. It was the very first "height related" activity I ever did, and was the first step into conquering my fear of heights.
Once the couple returned safely to the speed boat it was our turn. We were clipped on, the boat began to pick up speed and we were lifted into the air.

The view was unreal. Being lifted so high in the air we were able to see the entire city of Honolulu, with a spectacular backdrop of lush mountains behind it. This was definitely the best way to capture the beauty of the island of Oahu.

After spending 10 minutes in the air, and letting the view sink in, the speed boat started to slow down and we had a cheeky dip in the water. We watched out for humpback whales (the couple before us saw two!) as we made our way to the water.

Once we were back in the boat we watched as other couples shot up into the air. It was fun watching their expression of fear as they lifted off to pure excitement as they came down. The crew at Paradise Watersports were such a friendly and fun loving team and made any nerves you may have slip away.
