HOW TO SPEND 48 HOURS IN NOOSA, AUSTRALIA

Noosa, in southern Queensland, is one of Australia's most popular beachside holiday destinations - and for good reason. Known for its amazing surf, delicious food, stunning beaches and home to an array of wildlife, it really is the perfect getaway spot.

If you are planning to head out to Noosa for the weekend, here is our guide to spending 48 hours in Noosa.

Where To Stay

One of our favourite places to stay when looking for Noosa Accommodation is the Sebel Noosa Hotel.

Located in the heart of Hastings Street, only a short walk from Noosa Beach, The Sebel Noosa is the perfect place if you are looking for apartment style accommodation. Each apartment has a balcony, a spa bath and a modern fully equipped kitchen. They also have a huge pool, hot tub and a fitness centre all located on site.

The Sebel Noosa is also within easy walking distance of Noosa National Park, the Noosa River and several shops and restaurants - the perfect location!

Things To Do

Noosa National Park Walk

The Noosa National Park Walk is a stunning spot where you will have the chance to spot wild dolphins, koalas, and other Australian wildlife. The National Park is also home to many secret coves and swimming spots, so make sure to bring your bikini and enjoy exploring.

The Laguna Lookout

If you are looking for the ultimate panorama shot of Noosa we recommend heading out to the Laguna Lookout. This spot provides a stunning view of the Noosa town, as well as the Glasshouse Mountains in the distance. This view is best seen at sunset, where the colours are breathtaking.

Chill by the Noosa River

If you are looking for a spot to watch the sunrise, Noosa River is THE place to see it. We recommend packing yourself a picnic breakfast as you relax by the river - the perfect way to start your day.

You can also hire your own electric boat and take it out along the river, checking out the waterfront real estate and pulling over to private (or exclusive) beaches.

Enjoy the Eumundi Markets

Known for its locally made artisan treasures, this is a market you do not want to miss. Eumundi Markets is the biggest and the best art and craft market in Australia open every Wednesday & Saturday. Here you can shop for food, arts, clothing and much more. It is a really nice spot to grab a coffee and take a browse for some souvenirs.

Go Dolphin Kayaking or Whale Watching

Noosa is the perfect place to spot some aquatic wildlife. We recommend heading out on a kayak to explore the coast of Noosa for your chance to see dolphins, turtles and other sea life. Or, if you are around in August through November hop on a boat as it is whale watching season - you may even have the chance to spot humpbacks just off the shore!

Sunset on the Ferry

The Noosa Ferry converts to a very cool sunset ferry at night. They allow you to bring your own alcohol, and they will supply the glasses & ice!

Learn to Surf

Noosa is the perfect place to have a couple of surf lessons. Put on your wetsuit and learn to ride some waves, choosing from single to multi-day lessons. If you aren't that keen to ride some waves, we also recommend paddle-boarding on the calm waters of the lagoon.

Where To Eat

Grind Cafe

If you are looking for a really good cup of coffee and some smashed avo on toast than Grind Cafe is the perfect spot! With views of the Noosa River, all day breakfast starts at 6.30am and has plenty of veggie & vegan options.

Little Humid Restaurant

This restaurant is a great spot for lunch, having amazing views of the river and serving delicious food. The menu has a lot of variety and caters well for vegetarians and vegans. You need to try their gyoza and tempura prawns, along with a large slice of lemon meringue... my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Betty's Burgers & Concrete Co.

If you are looking for a classic burger and shake, Betty's Burgers does it the best! Just be prepared for a bit of a wait, as there is always a queue out the front - it is totally worth the wait!

Happy Pops

If you are looking to cool down on a hot summers day we highly recommend grabbing an ice cream from Happy Pops! They offer handcrafted artisanal gelato & gourmet waffles on a stick made fresh daily in store - yum!

Thanks to The Sebel Apartments & Hotels for partnering with Flying the Nest on this post!
